Add toor dal, carrot, tomato, half onion, tumeric powder,sambar powder,salt in to a cooker and whistle it.
It should be boiled such that toor dal can be easily smashed.
Keep flame low and to pan add oil followed by mustard seeds once they splutter add jeera,curry leaves, red chilly, garlic cloves, onion and fry it until onions turn brown.
Add tomato, green chilly and fry it for 4 mins.
Add pressured toor dal and boil it for another 2 mins.
